Fishing for a Cause

Fishing for a Cause is a non-profit organization based in Northeastern Pennsylvania dedicated to supporting families of children with disabilities. The group is made up of avid bass fishing anglers committed to providing disabled individuals and their families the opportunity to reach their fullest potential.

The group was looking for a website to not only provide information about Fishing for a Cause with contact information for donations and requests for help, but also allow them to share their activities and some information about the children they work with.

Once the site design was approved, it was developed with a WordPress back end to allow the group to edit and update the content. A scrolling section of recent activity lets visitors keep up to date on the families they are helping and fundraising events, with social media share links for each. The WordPress CMS allows each post to have a flexible layout for different amounts of copy and photos.
