Meet the Instruments

The development of the NEPA Philharmonic Kids Corner included a number of flash based activities following the style and theme of the rest of the site. This musical activity is one of the activities created for the Kids Corner.

The activity progresses through three parts. The first gives a basic introduction to the orchestra and the instrument families. The second introduces each instrument and asks the user to drag it into the orchestra where it belongs. Part three is a soundboard, allowing the user to click on each instrument to hear what it sounds like and learn more about it.

Together, the three parts teach the user about the orchestra and it’s instruments, allowing them to interact with the pieces.
